It offers a unique experience of traditional Japanese life, with its tatami rooms and authentic Japanese meals. The staff here are incredibly friendly and even provide a free shuttle service, which was a lifesaver for us when we arrived late at night in the pouring rain. The onsen baths, especially the outdoor one, are a perfect way to relax and connect with nature. And the location is perfect - it's close enough to Kyoto city center for a day trip, but far enough to enjoy the tranquility of the mountains.
All was great, nothing to complain about.

As a couple, we enjoyed the traditional building, beautiful onsen, and reasonable prices. The room had a great view of the inner garden. The staff were friendly, and the traditional Japanese meals for dinner and breakfast were delicious. The location was remote and surrounded by stunning mountains and charming local shops and shrines.
Felt very homey, no reason to complain.
